Wifi introduces significant latency into the system but of course it is required to send the audio to the listener’s device. Using Wifi to connect the Terminator to the network will expose the signal to an additional leg of Wifi, doubling the latency that Wifi introduces. Wired solutions such as Cat5 ethernet introduce much less latency if delivered via a reasonable quality network switch.
It is our opinion that continuing to run the Terminator wirelessly would deliver a sub-standard experience to listeners.
